Key Changes in PSL schedule 2025
In 2025, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has planned new ideas. They are to improve the experience of every individual included in the league. For them, new changes have to be made so that there is always the feeling the amnt of excitement stays fresh and unique.
New Teams and Venues
By doing this, we will have two teams joining PSL for the year 2025, taking the total to six. This will allow for more games along with new talent in the region. More matches will be scheduled in PSL 10, thus extending the PSL 10 timetable.
To enhance the overall experience for players and fans, new state-of-the-art stadiums will be constructed all over Pakistan which will also help in promoting the sport of cricket in the less developed regions of the country. The improved infrastructure will highly benefit the audience as well as the athletes following the PSL 2025 match.
Format Adjustments
The set of rules under which points are allocated to the schedule for PSL 2025 is totally new. The aim is to ensure that the competition is balanced. Every team will make every game important. Some adjustment will be required in the playoff rounds as well. This, however, will necessitate a greater number of games at the main peak of the season’s conclusion.

In the HBL PSL, the knockout stage is probably the funniest part. Moving onto the PSL , there are 6 teams that participate in the Pakistan Super League and at this stage, 4 teams qualify to compete for the PSL Cup.

This next round is made up of 2 qualifying teams, and the winning team will be able to compete in the final match at that point.
The first eliminator is made up of the third and fourth placed teams, and they compete with the winners and losers of the second eliminator.
The second eliminator pits the loser of the qualifier against the winner of the second placed eliminator in the grand final.
How fun is this format. You won’t believe that the fourth placed team can win the trophy. Islamabad United and HBL PSL did this in the inaugural edition.

PSL 10 2025 Match Timings
It seems that no information has been given regarding the schedule of HBL PSL 10. On single match days, the toss is scheduled at 6:30 PM and the game will start around 7 PM. The captain will come out 30 minutes early with the umpires present on the field.
In the context of a double header, the first match for the first match will start around 2 PM, while the second match of the day will start between 7 PM and 8 PM.
Now, moving on to the timing of the Ramadan Kareem matches, it goes without saying that Ramadan is important for every Muslim brother around the world. Pakistan being a Muslim majority state, it only makes sense to plan matches around this calendar.
This is why all matches during Ramadan will be scheduled at 9 PM as per the PCB which means that both the public and the players have ample time to prepare after breaking their fast.

What Happened in PSL 2024 Draft
The 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft was held in Lahore, hosted by the National Cricket Academy. Before entering the draft, the six PSL teams had already retained eight players, after some players were transferred and released.
Five teams retained eight of their players while Multan Sultans retained seven players from the previous season. A total of 485 foreign players were drafted
Among the overseas players, Karachi Kings acquired Kieron Pollard in the Platinum category, while Lahore Qalandars selected Rassie van der Dussen. Peshawar Zalmi selected Noor Ahmed while Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators selected Jordan Cox and Sheriff Rutherford respectively. Multan Sultans, who made the first selection, selected David Willey.
In the Diamond category, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans selected Tim Mills, Tim Seifert and Dawid Malan respectively.
For the Gold category, Reza Hendricks and Reece Topley joined Multan Sultans while Naveenul Haq was included in the Peshawar Zalmi squad.
Matthew Ford (Islamabad United), Dean Lawrence (Lahore Qalandars) and Daniel Mosley (Peshawar Zalmi) were selected in the Silver category. Meanwhile, Tom Curran, Jamie Overton, Shai Hope, Chris Jordan, Lungi Ngidi, and Akhil Hossain were selected as supplementary players.

What happened to PSL in 2024
Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans in the final to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title for the third time.
Chasing a target of 160, Islamabad won off the last ball of the match, with Imad Wasim remaining calm under pressure. Early in the game, Wasim played a key role by taking five wickets, helping his team restrict Multan’s score to a total that was within reach.

Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars successfully won their second consecutive title by defeating Multan Sultans in the 2023 PSL final.
